Remotire is Pakistan's remote jobs platform, operated from Islamabad, Pakistan. We connect job seekers with remote-first employers. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

2. Information We Collect
Account information: Name, email address, password (hashed — never stored in plain text).
Profile information: Professional title, bio, skills, years of experience, city, LinkedIn URL, portfolio URL, salary expectations, preferred job types and categories.
Usage data: Pages viewed, job listings saved and applied to, AI match requests, forum posts and replies, application statuses tracked, and time on page.
Employer data: Company name, contact details, job listings posted, and applicant interactions.
Salary & review submissions: Anonymously submitted salary data and company reviews.
Communications: Contact form submissions, support messages, and email preferences.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Service delivery: Display relevant jobs, enable application tracking, run AI job matching, and manage your account
- Personalization: Your skills and experience are sent to Google Gemini AI solely to generate job recommendations
- Communication: Send job alert emails, weekly digests, platform notifications, and respond to support requests. Marketing emails require explicit opt-in
- Platform improvement: Analyse usage patterns to improve search, recommendations, and UX
- Trust & safety: Detect and prevent fraudulent job listings, spam, and abuse
4. AI Job Matching
Our AI Job Match uses Google Gemini. When you run AI matching, your profile data (skills, experience level, salary expectations) is sent to Google's API to generate recommendations. This data is not stored by Google beyond the API call. See Google's Privacy Policy for more details.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:
- With employers: When you apply for a job through Remotire, your application data is shared with the employer
- Google Gemini: Profile data for AI job matching (as described above)
- Supabase: Our database provider processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization enabled
- Legal: When required by law or to protect rights and safety
6. Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: Update or correct inaccurate data via your profile settings
- Deletion: Request account deletion — email us at info@remotire.com
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via your notification settings or the unsubscribe link in emails
- Data portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days. Anonymously submitted salary data and forum posts may be retained for platform quality.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.

10. Children
Remotire is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
